The issuance of Rs. 500,000 postage stamps to each Parliamentarian has been halted with immediate effect.
The Department of Posts said all former MPs are requested to hand over all unused stamps, which were provided free of charge.
The unused stamps are to be handed over to the Parliament, the department added.
The Department of Posts pointed out that using such stamps was unlawful due to the dissolution of Parliament. (Newswire)
