The bail request of the Director of W.M. Mendis Company, Arjun Aloysius, imprisoned for VAT evasion, has been rejected by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
Arjun Aloysius and two others were sentenced to 6 months in prison for defaulting payment of Rs. 3.5 billion VAT.
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court on Monday (Oct 14) imprisoned Aloysius based on a case filed by the Inland Revenue Department. (Newswire)
