Actress Damitha Abeyratne announced her departure from Sri Lanka’s main opposition party, Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB), and revealed she has joined the newly-formed Democratic National Alliance.
Abeyratne’s decision to leave the SJB comes after she was excluded from the Ratnapura district candidate list.
