Two persons have been injured in a shooting incident reported at the Ratmalana Railway Yard early this morning.
The Police said a group of five persons had entered the yard to steal goods, when they had been spotted by security officials on duty.
The suspects had assaulted and injured one security official, after which another security official opened fire at them.
One suspect had been injured in the shooting, while the other suspects had fled the area.
The injured security official and suspect have been admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.
The Mount Lavinia Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (Newswire)
