The National Election Commission has announced the finger-marking process of voters at the upcoming 2024 General Election.
Issuing a statement, the Election Commission said that the Index finger on the left hand will be marked for the Parliamentary Election.
Voters who do not have an index finger on the left hand will be marked on the thumb or any other finger on the right hand.
The decision has been made as the little finger on the left hand has already been marked for the 2024 Presidential Election and the thumb on the left hand will be used for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Election.
The Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Election is scheduled to be held on 26 October 2024, while the Parliamentary Election will be held on 14 November 2024. (Newswire)
