Guns back to the barracks! Politicians issued firearm surrender deadline

The Ministry of Defence has instructed that all firearms and ammunition issued in the past to parliamentarians, provincial councillors, political party leaders, political organizations, and executive-grade civil servants by the Sri Lanka Police and the Army be returned by December 30, 2024.
