The National Peoples’ Power (NPP) has won four (04) seats in the Polonnaruwa District under the Preferential voting system.
The preferential votes for the Polonnaruwa District are as follows;
- NPP – 04 seats
- T. B. Sarath – 105,137 votes
- Jagath Wickramarathne – 51,391 votes
- Sunil Ratnasiri – 51,077 votes
- Padmasiri Bandara – 45,096 votes
- SJB – 01 seat
