The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning and heavy rain in several districts, effective until 08.30 am tomorrow (19 Nov).
The department states the prevailing showery conditions are expected to continue in the Northern part of the island.
Therefore, heavy showers above 100 mm are likely in some places, while fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely in some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts. (Newswire)
