The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning and heavy rain in several districts, effective until 08.30 am tomorrow (20 Nov).
Accordingly, Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern and Eastern provinces, while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere on the island during the evening or night.
Heavy showers above 100 mm accompanied by severe lightning are likely in some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva and Northern provinces and the Nuwara-Eliya District. (Newswire)
