A 28-year-old man has died after being struck by lightning in the Maddewila area in Elpitiya last evening.
The Police said the man had been struck by lightning while working on his cinnamon plantation.
He had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Elpitiya Hospital.
The deceased is a 28-year-old resident of Maddewila. The Elpitiya Police is conducting investigations. (Newswire)
