The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has issued a warrant for newly elected Jaffna District MP Archchuna Ramanathan for failing to appear in court.
It is reported that the MP had failed to appear in court pertaining to the case related to a road accident in 2021.
MP Archchuna Ramanathan is accused of being involved in a road accident on Baseline Road and allegedly assaulting another motorist, seriously injuring him.
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court ordered the Jaffna Senior Police Authority to issue the arrest warrant due to the MP failing to appear in court today. (Newswire)
