Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has affirmed that unity transcending party, nationality, religion, class, and other differences is essential to ensure justice and fairness for the Palestinian people.
Speaking at the United Nations Day for Solidarity with the Palestinian People conference at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Centre in Colombo, MP Premadasa emphasized the need for action over rhetoric.
He stated that in the name of humanity, Palestinians deserve justice, and achieving this requires active collaboration with the international community.
He reiterated his unwavering stance in support of Palestinian rights, committing to stand against state terrorism that continues to devastate Palestine and further called on world leaders to take decisive action against the bombing of civilian areas and to back their words with concrete measures.
MP Premadasa stressed the importance of fostering a future where Israel and Palestine coexist peacefully, rooted in brotherhood and reconciliation, urging global efforts to ensure that the Palestinians’ right to live is upheld and protected. (Newswire)
