Mainly fair weather will prevail over most parts of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
However, a few showers will occur in the Eastern provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected in most places of the island in the morning.
Meanwhile, showers will occur at a few places in the sea areas extending from Batticaloa to Kankasanthurai via Trincomalee.
Winds will be variable in direction in the sea areas around the island and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph.
