On Friday night (13th December), officers from the Walana Anti-Corruption Unit conducted a raid in the Collingwood Place area within the Wellawatta Police Division.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 36 grams of cocaine, 203 grams of kush, suspected drug proceeds amounting to Rs. 1,875,000, a mobile phone, a cash counting machine, two bank cards, and an electronic scale.
A 26-year-old resident of Dehiwala was arrested at the scene.
Further information obtained from the suspect led to the arrest of two additional individuals in the same area, along with 3.6 grams of Kush.
The suspects, aged 24 and 25, are residents of Mattakkuliya and Colombo 14. All three have been handed over to the Wellawatta Police, which is continuing further investigation. (NewsWire)
