Two persons have sustained injuries in a shooting reported in the Balimulla area in Meetiyagoda last night.
The Police said unidentified gunmen had shot a man and his daughter at their residence.
The 49-year-old man and his 29-year-old daughter had been admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital with injuries.
Preliminary investigations reveal that a group of persons had entered the house, shot the victims, assaulted them with sharp weapons, and fled the area.
The Meetiyagoda Police has launched investigations to apprehend the suspects. (Newswire)
