A man injured in a shooting incident in Galle has succumbed to his injuries, police confirmed.
The deceased, identified as 38-year-old Pathum alias “Lokkaa,”.
His wife, who was accompanying him at the time, sustained injuries and has been hospitalized.
The incident occurred while the couple was traveling from Galle towards Colombo.
The police revealed that the victim was traveling on a motorcycle when two individuals on another motorcycle opened fire.
Police investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the shooting.
