Police report that 2,243 people have died in road accidents across the country between January 1 and December 13 this year.
A total of 22,967 road accidents were recorded during this period, with 2,141 categorized as fatal accidents, accounting for 9% of all incidents. Additionally, 6,500 serious accidents and 9,127 minor accidents were reported.
In the past 24 hours alone, 13 fatalities were reported due to road accidents. Police have urged the public to exercise caution while traveling, especially during the festive season, to reduce the risk of accidents. (NewsWire)
