Government Spokesman Minister Nalinda Jayatihssa said that several international and foreign investment projects that were halted have recommenced with the new government in place.
Jayathissa made these comments after assuming duties as the Kalutara District Development Committee chairman.
Stating that discussions have commenced to bring in foreign investments, he added that Sri Lanka can expect a prosperous beginning next year.
“Foreign diplomats have regained confidence and have started working with Sri Lanka,” he said, noting that foreign and local businesses have regained trust in Sri Lanka.
Minister Jayatissa further pointed out that the stock market has commenced performing well in a short span of time.
He said the international community has acknowledged that Sri Lanka is moving on the path towards stabilization.
He added that the government has stabilized the nation within 03 months since assuming power. (Newswire)
