Sri Lanka Railways has issued details on the necessary documents required for the process of train ticket reservations.
The Railway Department said passengers must provide their National Identity Card (NIC) number or Passport number when reserving tickets.
These details will be verified during station entry and ticket checks, it said.
The department further said that a copy of the NIC or Passport will be required to claim refunds for reserved tickets, effective from 01 January 2025. (Newswire)
