A 16-year-old girl has died in an incident where she fell from the 12th floor of a 24-story apartment complex in Borella, according to the police.
The incident occurred last night (10), and she succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital in critical condition.
The deceased has been identified as a 16-year-old resident of Serpentine Road, Borella, police said.
Her mother has revealed that the girl had been undergoing medical treatment for mental stress for some time.
However, investigations are ongoing by the Borella Police to determine whether the girl jumped from the balcony of the floor or accidentally fell. (NewsWire)
