President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will leave tonight for a four-day official visit to China.
President Dissanayake, invited by Chinese President Xi Jinping, will engage in the state visit from 14-17 January 2025.
During the visit, President Dissanayake is expected to engage in discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and other government officials.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is also expected to participate in several field trips aimed at technological and agricultural development, as well as poverty alleviation.
Several bilateral agreements are also scheduled to be signed between the two nations, during the visit.
This is the second overseas trip of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake since being elected to power. (Newswire)
