Chairman of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Dr. Manuja C. Weerasinghe has filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) regarding what he described as false and baseless allegations targeting the Ministry of Health, its institutions, and officials.
Dr. Weerasinghe said the allegations, made through the media in recent weeks, have focused on the drug supply network managed by the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation and healthcare service officials.
He stated that these claims have disrupted decision-making and operations within the healthcare sector.
Dr. Weerasinghe also raised concerns that the allegations may be part of an effort to destabilize public healthcare services and called for a comprehensive investigation into the matter. (Newswire)
