This flagship initiative, which has positively impacted the lives of over 75,000 students from underprivileged families across Sri Lanka, continues to bridge the educational gap for children facing challenges stemming from poverty and hardship.
In 2025, the program aims to support nearly 4,000 students in the Kandy and Kurunegala districts, providing essential educational resources valued at 16 million rupees.
Zam Zam Foundation’s School with a Smile 2025 National Event was held on January 22, 2025, at the Kurunegala Provincial Council Auditorium. For a decade, this initiative has been committed to supporting the education of students from low-income families.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. D.M.K.C. Dissanayake, Secretary of the Chief Ministry of the North Western Province, Ven. Kalupahane Piyarathna Thero, Retired Bishop Rev. Asiri Perera, Zonal Education Directors, education officers, religious leaders, members of the Zam Zam Foundation, and well-wishers.
A notable collaboration with Diamond Best Food, through its Diamond Nutrition Care program, added further value to the initiative. Free powdered milk for three months was pledged for 4,000 students, with the initial distribution taking place during the event.
Alhaj Ali Fahmy, Director of Diamond Best Food, along with senior representatives of the organization, also participated in the occasion, reinforcing the collective effort to support educational and nutritional well-being.
