Six suspects have been arrested after the Police STF raided a large-scale illegal distillery in Kiribathgoda yesterday.
The Police said that based on a tip-off, the Police STF raided the illegal distillery located on Maya Mawatha in Kiribathgoda.
The arrested suspects are aged between 30 and 47 years and are residents of Nuwara Eliya, Nawalapitiya, Kiribathgoda, Bombuwala, Narammala and Kurunegala.
The Police STF had seized nearly 4,000 bottles of liquor, while it is reported that the government has suffered a significant revenue loss due to the illegal distillery. (Newswire)
