A 36-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of his sister in Kamburupitiya has been remanded until February 14, 2025, following his appearance in court. Meanwhile, his 76-year-old mother, who was also arrested, has been released on bail.
The suspect was taken into custody after police found his 33-year-old sister dead from head injuries inside their home on Matara Road. Their mother was discovered unconscious and was hospitalized for treatment.
