The Sri Lankan government will sign exchange papers and an amended agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as part of its foreign debt restructuring process with Japan.
Cabinet Media Spokesman Minister Nalinda Jayathissa said that the decision follows bilateral negotiations and the conclusion of discussions with the official creditor committee.
The Attorney General has approved the necessary documents, and the Cabinet has granted approval for the signing, based on a proposal by the President in his capacity as a Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development. (Newswire)
