The Cabinet of Ministers has approved awarding the contract for repairing CFM 56-5B engines and the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of SriLankan Airlines’ fleet to Lufthansa Technik (LHT), Hamburg.
The decision follows an international competitive bidding process in which seven bids were submitted. Based on recommendations from the Technical Evaluation Committee and the Standing Procurement Committee, Lufthansa Technik was selected as the lowest responsive bidder. The contract will be in effect for four years.
The proposal was presented by the President in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development. (Newswire)
