This International Women’s Day, Ride Colombo ’25 sets out to redefine empowerment through the power of cycling. Idea by FEEL LANKA and organized by Across Ceylon, the event is a celebration of women and it created a platform for fostering gender equality, active lifestyles, and inclusive tourism. It brings together women from diverse backgrounds and countries to celebrate their shared passion for cycling while creating a space where ideas, enthusiasm, and ambitions can flourish.
A key initiative of Ride Colombo ’25 is its commitment to empowering women through the “Women in Tourism” CSR project. This program aims to train and equip Sri Lankan women as professional bike guides, fostering leadership in tourism while promoting sustainable and inclusive opportunities. By doing so, it seeks to build a network of female ambassadors who will represent Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture and natural beauty to the world. FEEL LANKA, in collaboration with like-minded organizations, is driving this project forward under the pillars of entrepreneurship and leadership. 100% of RideColombo event registration funds go directly to charity, ensuring the event is purpose-driven and truly meaningful.
The event will also serve as a meeting ground for women empowerment associations, offering them a platform to share their achievements and inspire others. Additionally, brands that support and create value for women will have the opportunity to present their contributions, reinforcing the message of empowerment and collaboration.
Ride Colombo ’25 isn’t just a cycling event; it is a call to action. It challenges perceptions, bridges communities, and honours the dedication of women who lead change in their spheres. As women gather to ride through the iconic streets of Colombo, they do so not only to celebrate themselves but to make a statement about resilience, progress, and solidarity.
This International Women’s Day, let’s make it remarkable. Join Ride Colombo ’25 and be part of a movement that goes beyond the ride—towards a future of shared empowerment and sustainable impact.
