Jaffna District National People’s Power (NPP) MP K. Ilankumaran has been injured in a road accident in the Chavakachcheri area.
The accident occurred while the MP was traveling from Kilinochchi to Jaffna when his vehicle collided with a small lorry that had turned towards Chavakachcheri.
As a result of the collision, MP Ilankumaran, his assistant, and the driver sustained injuries and were admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Chavakachcheri Police have launched an investigation into the incident. (NewsWire)
