The gunman in the Hulftsdorp court shooting has been identified as 27-year-old Samindu Dilshan Piyumanga Kandanaarachchi.
The suspect has been identified as a former member of the Sri Lanka Army Commando Regiment.
He was arrested in the Palaviya area in Puttalam today, after gunning down underworld kingpin Ganemulla Sanjeewa and fleeing the scene earlier this morning.
The man had disguised himself as a lawyer and had smuggled in the weapon used to carry out the shooting concealed inside a Code of Criminal Procedure book. (Newswire)
