The Police have sought public assistance to apprehend the woman who had aided the murder of underworld kingpin Ganemulla Sanjeewa, who was shot dead inside a Colombo Court Complex yesterday.
According to the Police, the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) is conducting investigations into the incident.
The woman involved in the murder has been identified as 25-year-old Ishara Sewwandi, a resident of Katuwellegama in Negombo.
The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) has decided to provide a monetary gift for those helping find the wanted woman while maintaining the confidentiality of the informers.
The public with information on the wanted suspect has been instructed to contact the Police via the hotlines 071 – 8591727 or 071 – 8591735. (Newswire)
