Microsoft is set to permanently shut down its video conferencing platform, Skype, in May, marking the end of its 22-year journey.
According to a report by XDA, a message in the latest preview for Skype for Windows confirmed the decision, stating, “Starting in May, Skype will no longer be available.”
Skype, which was launched in 2003, became a widely used communication tool before Microsoft acquired it in 2011.
