A suspect has been arrested in the Seeduwa area for allegedly operating a fake number plate manufacturing site.
The arrest was made during a raid carried out yesterday (29) by officers of the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Task Force, following a tip-off.
The suspect is a 56-year-old resident of Siyambalagahawatta in Seeduwa.
Police seized three fake number plates, a set of stickers bearing the Department of Motor Traffic seal, 67 stickers with the national emblem, and other materials used in the production of number plates.
The Walana Central Anti-Corruption Task Force is conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
