The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning for the Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Central, Eastern, and Uva Provinces, and the Mullaitivu, Vavuniya, Kurunegala, and Hambantota Districts.
According to the department, the weather advisory is effective until 11.00 pm today (06 Apr).
The public has been urged to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by lightning activities. (Newswire)
