The Sri Lanka Police has launched a probe into the incident of a Police officer berating an Army officer, with video footage of the incident widely circulated on social media.
According to the Police, the probe has been launched into the incident on the directive of the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Officer-in-Charge of Kandy District 1.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, disciplinary action will be taken against the Police officer involved in the incident. (Newswire)
