Japan donates Rs. 300M in Aid to Sri Lanka for weather relief

The Japanese government has provided aid worth approximately Rs. 300 million to support Sri Lankans affected by the recent adverse weather.

Emergency supplies, coordinated through the Japanese Embassy in Sri Lanka and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) on Saturday.

Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Isomata Akio officially handed over the supplies to local authorities. The relief materials will be distributed to those impacted by the weather through the relevant District Secretaries. (Newswire)
