Sri Lankan Cricketer Angelo Mathews says he is prepared to give everything if he is selected to play for Sri Lanka in the upcoming ODI World Cup as this will be his last fifty over Cricket World Cup.
Angelo Mathews, Sri Lanka’s most senior active cricketer represented Sri Lanka in the 2011, 2015 and 2019 Cricket World Cups but he has not been able to find a place in the Sri Lanka ODI side recently.
Sri Lanka has not officially announced the World Cup squad as of yet.
“I started bowling in the LPL targeting the World Cup and I am prepared to give everything and use all my experience if selected to play and win the World Cup for Sri Lanka as this will be my last 50 over World Cup,” Angelo Mathews told NewsWire.
“I had a good LPL as an all-rounder and I am continuing with my training,” he added. (NewsWire)
