The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning in the Eastern, Uva, Central and North-central provinces and the Hambantota, Mannar and Vavuniya districts.
According to the department, the advisory is effective until 11.00 pm today (21 Apr).
The public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by lightning activity. (Newswire)
