Customs hits record Rs. 1.5T revenue in 2024

Sri Lanka Customs has reported a revenue of over Rs. 1.5 trillion in 2024.

Customs Media Spokesperson and Additional Director of Customs, Seevali Arukgoda said Rs. 1.515 trillion was reported for the year 2024.

Seevali Arukgoda said this was the highest revenue reported in a year.

He further said that Sri Lanka Customs has managed to near its revenue target of Rs. 1.533 trillion.

Seevali Arukgoda said that the government’s policies, increase in imports, and the tax collection process implemented by Sri Lanka Customs contributed to the high revenue. (Newswire)
