A ban will be imposed on the manufacture and sale of certain single-use plastic products in Sri Lanka in October, the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) announced today.
The Central Environmental Authority stated that the ban will be imposed with effect from 01 October 2023.
The ban will be imposed on one-time-use plastic products such as drinking straws, cups, plates, knives, forks, spoons, string hopper trays, garlands, etc. (NewsWire)
