All former Parliamentarians have now returned their houses at the Madiwela Housing Complex for MPs.
According to Parliament Secretary-General Kushani Rohanadeera, forty (40) newly elected MPs have been issued houses at the Madiwela Housing Complex.
Rohanadeera further said that twenty (20) former MPs re-elected to Parliament have been issued the houses previously allocated to them.
Following a regime change, all former MPs were instructed by the new government to vacate the houses at the Madiwela Housing Complex.
At the time it was reported that several former MPs had failed to return their houses, with some having left the country.
