The scheduled 2023 GCE Advanced Level Examinations will be postponed, Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha informed Parliament today.
Addressing the House, the Minister stated that the new date will be announced next week.
He further stated that the revised dates for the conducting of the examinations will be announced by the Commissioner General of Examinations.
The Education Minister stated that the decision has been taken after considering the concerns raised by both the ruling and opposition MPs in this regard in Parliament recently.
He added that the insufficient time period for preparations for students sitting the examination was also considered as a key factor to make the decision.
The 2023 GCE Advanced Level examinations were scheduled to take place from November 27 to December 21. (NewsWire)
