Intelligence agencies have reported of attempts to sabotage the fresh investigations into the the 2019 Easter Sunday Attacks, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security, D W R B Senevirathna said.
Speaking at a special media briefing on the country’s security situation, Senevirathna stated that new avenues of investigation have emerged from the ongoing probe.
“Intelligence agencies have identified attempts by certain groups to sabotage the investigations. An inquiry has been launched into this matter. I want to make it clear—we have identified these individuals, and the law will be enforced strictly against them,” he said.
No person will be allowed to destabilise the country through their attempts to obstruct investigations, Senevirathna said. (Newswire)
