Health authorities have warned of an increase in dengue cases due to the inclement weather experienced in Sri Lanka.
Director of the National Dengue Control Unit Dr. Nalin Ariyaratne said that 39 deaths due to dengue have been reported so far this year.
Dr. Nalin Ariyaratne further said that 66,500 dengue cases have been reported so far in Sri Lanka in 2023.
He added that most dengue cases have been detected in the Kandy, Colombo, Nugegoda, Gothatuwa, Gampaha and Attanagalla areas. (NewsWire)
