The Digital Marketing Association of Sri Lanka (DMASL) announced its new Executive Committee (ExCo) and Board of Directors for the 2024/2025 term following its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 7th Oct 2024. The event also unveiled DMASL’s strategic priorities for the coming year. Mr. Arjun Jeger was elected President, succeeding Mr. Umair Wolid.
Ms. Gayathri Seneviratne and Mr. Shalendra Mendis were elected Vice Presidents, while Mr. Udara Dharmasena took on the role of Secretary, and Mr. Muhammed Gazzaly was appointed Treasurer. The AGM reflected on the successes of the 2023/2024 term, notably the hosting of Sri Lanka’s first internationally-led 2-day Digital Marketing Summit, new project initiations, and key policy discussions with government institutions.
Building on this momentum, the new leadership will focus on the key initiatives outlined in ROADMAP 2025. These initiatives include:
Digital Elevation: Uplifting digital marketing services and the broader ecosystem. Strategic Partnerships: Strengthening relationships with government bodies and global partners to advocate for policies that support the growth of the digital economy. Community Upliftment: Fostering underserved communities through initiatives such as providing digital marketing skills training and supporting women in tech via a dedicated Women’s Chapter in partnership with SheLovesData. This also includes nurturing the next generation of digital marketers through learning initiatives. Research Initiatives: Conducting data collection to inform strategic decisions.

“DMASL has completed three years as a professional association, and over the years, we have conducted numerous skills and training sessions to keep the digital marketing field thriving—most notably through our flagship event, the Sri Lanka Digital Marketing Summit,” said Mr. Arjun Jeger, President of DMASL.
“In the upcoming year, our plan is to raise the bar even higher, helping professionals and the country position Sri Lanka as a digital services export hub for the world. At the same time, we aim to encourage more people to join this dynamic industry. DMASL remains dedicated to its objectives of setting professional standards, ethical guidelines, and best practices for the digital marketing industry in Sri Lanka. We will continue to support the continuous professional development of our members and provide them opportunities for exposure at an international level,” said Mr. Jeger.
He further emphasized, “Through initiatives like skills training, research, and strategic partnerships, DMASL aims to foster an environment where digital marketing professionals can thrive, innovate, and make a meaningful contribution to both the local and global digital economies.”
