Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) member Rohitha Abeygunawardena says it is better to be killed than to allow his reputation to be tarnished.
Addressing a political rally, the former SLPP MP said that it is not easy to pull him down through mudslinging campaigns.
“I would like to say to those who hate me, instead of mudslinging and ruining my reputation, you should just destroy my life, like how several leaders were shot and killed or murdered,” he said.
Rohitha Abeygunawardena said he was ready to sacrifice his life for the nation and politics.
“This is better than mudslinging. Killing me is better than ruining my character,” he emphasized. (Newswire)
