Police have revealed new details in the abduction of a 19-year-old schoolgirl in Daulagala on Jan. 11, identifying the main suspect as her cousin, the son of her father’s sister.
Authorities said initial investigations showed that both families had previously consented to a marriage between the suspect and the victim, but the arrangement fell through after the girl’s father withdrew his approval. The abduction is believed to have been motivated by the resulting dispute.
