A one-year-old girl was reported dead in Hasalaka after being accidentally run over by a lorry, Police said.
The incident occurred when the toddler, visiting a relative’s house, was struck by the lorry’s rear tires as it was started and moved forward. The child was rushed to Mahiyanganaya Hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
The lorry driver has been arrested, while Hasalaka Police are investigating the incident. (Newswire)
