Indian journalist R.K Radhakrishnan has requested the public not to fall victim to false statements spread by certain Indian factions on the late LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.
In a Twitter message, Radhakrishnan pointed out that making false statements claiming that Prabhakaran was alive will result in conflict between various communities in Sri Lanka.
His remarks come after Tamil Nationalist Movement (TNM) Leader P. Nedumaran told Indian media on Monday that LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran was alive and will make an appearance at the appropriate time.
United News of India reported that the Indian politician made the startling revelation during a press conference held in Thanjavur today (13).
Nedumaran further said Prabhakaran was healthy and that his family was in touch with him.
Stating that he cannot disclose Prabhakaran’s location, Nedumaran said, however, he was making the revelation today with the consent of the LTTE leader’s family members.
Nedumaran added that the current situation in Sri Lanka with various protests has made it conducive for Prabhakaran to make a public appearance soon. (NewsWire)
