A Police investigation has been launched into the alleged disappearance of Rs. 5 million from a safe at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The investigation has been launched based on a complaint filed at the Fort Police Station by Central Bank authorities.
The complaint states that bundles of cash that had been placed inside the safe with high-security systems are reported missing.
While the Fort Police Station is conducting a probe into the matter, the Central Bank is reportedly conducting an internal investigation as well. (NewsWire)
